Format of the Liga Promerica

The Liga Promerica season is divided into two tournaments: the Apertura and the Clausura.   

Apertura

The Apertura tournament is played from August to December. Each team plays each other team twice, once home and once away. The top four teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the playoffs.

Playoffs

The playoffs are a single-elimination tournament. The semifinals are played over two legs, and the final is played over one leg.
